Kate joined the Franks & Co. Group in 2020.

Kate read Physics at Durham University

Kate's degree covered a wide range of technical topics such as classical and theoretical mechanics, relativity, quantum theory, condensed matter physics, statistical physics, electronics, programming, complex analysis and calculus of variations. Their final year project included using ultrasound to develop a depth measurement system, in collaboration with a local business.

Kate also completed language modules throughout their degree, including Spanish, Italian and Russian.

Kate is now furthering their understanding of UK, European, and International patent law and trade mark law. Kate is gaining experience across a range of intellectual property matters, including patents, trade marks and designs.
